This past year I told myself I would travel as much as possible. My dad told me I should focus on saving money and I told him I could do both. Fast forward a year later and I’ve accomplished both my travel and savings goal.
This year I had the opportunity to create memories and adventures in some amazing places. From Charleston to Mexico it seemed I was traveling somewhere new each month.
Between the flights and car rides I started to master the art of a casual and cute outfit. The whole “packing light” thing is still a work in progress. Most of the time I was exploring the moment I stepped off my flight or out of the car. I wanted to be able to start the adventure right away without worrying about changing my outfit.
My go to travel outfit is quite simple and varies depending on the season. For fall and winter: black leggings, short sleeve tee, denim button down, scarf and my favorite sneakers. I always have a black coat on hand for a chilly night or plane ride.
In the spring my outfit stays pretty much the same, except for the coat. Instead of my heavier jacket I would wear a lightweight bomber jacket.
Summer travel is all about staying cool and casual. I can usually be found wearing a black cotton romper with a sheer long cardigan.
