Sister Sister

Every time I have guests come to visit I am reminded how amazing and exciting of a city Atlanta is. It does not get better than the mouth watering food and rooftop views. This past weekend I had both of my little sisters in Atlanta for a long weekend trip. I had such a fun time showing them around to a few of my favorite spots. We ate way too much delicious food, but I do not regret a single one of those calories. It was great being able to spend time with these two, I have a feeling this will be the first of many more sister weekends.

We started off the weekend with dinner at South City Kitchen. My mouth is watering as I try to find the right words to describe how amazing our meal was. We decided to order multiple dishes and share family style. img_5851copy_225

Our shared meal:

Shrimp & Grits
Fried Green Tomatoes
Fried Chicken
Crab Cake
Pulled BBQ Pork

My two favorite dishes from the night had to be the crab cake and fried chicken plate. The crab cake was all meat and decadent to the last bite. It was paired with a kale salad and stone mustard sauce. The fried chicken was the perfect combination of tender and crunchy. The chicken was paired with creamy mashed potatoes and collard greens.

We ended the night with drinks on the Whiskey Blue rooftop. If you are looking for a classy bar with great drinks and a photo worthy view this is the place for you. Whiskey Blue is located on top of the W in Buckhead.

The next day we went to Front Page News for brunch. The atmosphere and meal brought me straight back to my weekend in New Orleans. We had fried pickles as a starter and I had this beautiful shrimp and crawfish étouffée to end the meal.

I was in heaven from my first bite. You can wash all of this goodness down with a bucket of mimosas for $20.
