Sunglasses & Advil, Traveling was Mad Real

We have officially made it back home from our last big trip of the year! Key West so much fun, and we were obsessing hardcore! Sadly all good things must come to an end, but I’m pretty positive my body will appreciate the healthy food and water.

Make sure to keep a look out for our trip recap coming soon!

After all the traveling we have done this year life really starts to catch up with you. I’ve always been pretty good at adapting to wherever we go and not having a travel hangover. But the older I become, the more my lack of sleep and upped adventure has started to get to me. Over the past year I’ve come up with a few hacks to help avoid the dreaded travel hangover!

Travel Hacks for Avoiding Jet-lag

  1. Always drink a ton of water.
  2. Don’t skimp on the sleep.
  3. Try to eat at least one normal meal a day.
  4. Bring a hydrating mask along and do it at least twice.
  5. Drink water (lots of water) on the plane and throughout your trip.

Two days after arriving in Key West my face felt BEYOND swollen, maybe it was the mojitos or maybe it was because I skimmed out on the hydrating mask night one. One thing is for certain, I made sure to put that sheet mask on immediately the next day. My face was begging for hydration, especially since Key West was so so hot! These face sheet masks really do help to add hydration to your skin. Insider tip: after you take off the mask rub all of the excess into your skin and neck. It works wonders and you’ll notice a difference in your skin the next day!

WHY DO THESE FACE MASKS WORK?

Traveling is SO hard on your body, and I’m not sure about y’all but the first place I notice my body rejecting travel/lack of sleep is in my face. Puffiness can come from all sorts of things: lack of hydration, too much salt, too many drinks the night before, lack of sleep or lots of travel. These sheet masks help to put hydration back into your skin and ultimately help to prevent the puffy face. I love these masks because they’re thin and small, perfect for throwing in your purse!

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, but it is so nice coming home. We have one more short weekend trip for the year and then things will finally get back to normal! But for tonight I’ll be drinking some water and applying a sheet face mask.

XOXO

Emily
