Happy Tuesday babes! Hope you’re all having the best week so far, it’s been rainy here. So you better believe I’m ready for the sunshine to come back! Something I talk about a decent amount on my Instagram stories is, Self Tanner and the different ones I’m always trying. Today I’m sharing which ones I love and which one I could do without!

Self Tanner I LOVE

Let’s start with my top picks first! You know, good news before I throw some shade (jokes jokes!) I’ve been a long time lover of St. Tropez, not only are their tanners pretty much streak free they are so easy to apply! I started using the St. Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse almost two years ago and really loved it from the start! The bottle lasted for around 12 applications, the tan lasts around a week and I never experienced any “orange” color. The only downside, it is kind of pricey compared to other at home tanners.

A few weeks ago, I started using St. Moriz and might just like it a little better than St. Tropez. It has a lower price point (heck yes) and actually smells really nice! There isn’t a strong “spray tan” smell that most tanners seem to linger on your skin for awhile. It has the same consistency as St. Tropez, you use a mitt to apply the tanner and I did not experience any streaking!

Self Tanner that I give a hard pass

Loreal tanning cloths receive a nice, no thank you from me. I used them when I was in a crunch for a wedding and they were really just that, “fine for when you’re in a pinch.” The cloths left a strong tanning smell and I had to use multiple cloths to ensure my entire body was covered. I also did have a slight orange look, or at least from my perspective. Since you are applying with a cloth, the application goes on clear. This is difficult for two reasons:

  1. Your hands get all kinds of orange
  2. You can not see where you have and have not applied the tanning cloth

Overall, they are not the worst. But for $12, you should spend your money on St. Moriz instead.

I’d love to hear which self tanners you all love, and which you love to hate!

XOXO
