Wolf Mountain Winery

Happy Tuesday loves!
I spent this past Saturday exploring Wolf Mountain winery in north Georgia. The wine was delicious, the weather was beautiful and the views were amazing. My parents are huge wine lovers and I definitely took after them. When the opportunity to visit Wolf Mountain came about, there was no way I would turn it down!

Wolf Mountain Winery is located in northern Georgia, which is not too far from where I live. The drive flew by, mostly because I didn’t have to drive and had the great company of my girl Erika! If you are in the Atlanta area and have not visited the wineries in northern Georgia you are missing out. Overall the wines at Wolf Mountain are on the dryer side. I was a huge fan of their Chanteloup and Private Reserve Chardonnay from the tasting. Don’t worry, I didn’t abandon my love of reds or rosé. Their Sunset Rosé was amazing and worth the drive alone.

So here’s the rundown on how it all works:

  • They have a tasting menu for $16. You are able to try six different wines and it gives you a good overall feel for the wines available.
  • You can also purchase glasses and bottles of wine.
  • If I was to do it all over again I would have enjoyed the tasting a little more. I was expecting a little more of a formal tasting. The way they had it set up was: walk up to the bar and grab your next wine kind of deal. Which is great! But next time I will grab a table outside and casually enjoy each wine.

The coolest part about the winery was the scenery. Since the vineyard is located on a mountain you have unbelievable views regardless of where you are standing. I am already planning out my next trip to Wolf Mountain. Next time though, I’m thinking it’s only right to give all the wineries around a try!
