Designing our Living with Bassett Furniture

Happy Friday babes! I am so excited to share with y’all a fun collaboration I’ve been working a few months on with Bassett Furniture. Earlier on in the week we had the chance to go to the brand new Bassett store in the Easton area! It was so amazing working with one of their designers and creating our one of a kind living room collection!

The moment we walked into Bassett we were greeted by rooms filled with, gorgeous bedroom and living room pieces. I didn’t realize before our visit, but everything at Bassett is customizable. Not only is it SO much fun designing your own space, it really allows you to build a one of a kind area.

At the back of the store, there is a designated design area, filled with rows and rows of beautifully crafted fabrics. I love that Bassett created an amazing space specifically for design. This area actually reminded me of my design meetings when I worked at Carter’s!

One of the amazing things about designing your furniture inside Bassett, is that you’re able to touch and pair multiple fabrics together, before settling on a final design. Which let’s be honest, if you’re anything like me you’ll probably change your mind 10 times throughout the entire process.

Most of y’all already know that Aaron and I have VERY different tastes in style. He’s a bold, pattern and fill the room with as much color type of guy. Where I prefer everything white, with a little hint of color through accent pieces. I loved working with our designer Ashley on this project, not only does she have an amazing eye, she was able to create a space that incorporated both of our personal styles. To get started, Ashley had us both pull any fabric that we loved. Once we laid it all out on the design table, each of us pulled away anything that was an absolute NO.

I was so nervous about the design process, but having Ashley guide us along was exactly what we needed! She helped bring both of our styles together in a completely organic way.

Whenever I think about customizing furniture, I’ve always imagined it being crazy expensive and taking 6 months to arrive. So you can only imagine how blow away I was, to learn that Bassett creates beautifully crafted pieces in as little as 35 days. How wild is that?! These days, most furniture is designed to sell, not to last.  For more than 100 years Bassett has been perfecting the art of crafting furniture full of American ingenuity. You don’t have to worry about making a big home decor purchase, only to have to buy another couch two years down the road.

The Bassett team truly cares about creating pieces that you will cherish in your home for years to come!

Our final design!

It’s pretty crazy to think I went into our visit only wanting white furniture and came out with this amazing twist on chic farmhouse living room! I can’t wait to show y’all how the room comes together! We are supposed to have our furniture in around 35 days. So stay tuned for updates on my instastories!

XOXO
