Holiday Hosting Made Easy

Happy Wednesday babes! Aaron and I are hosting a big Christmas party next week and I am so excited to share with you how we prepared, thanks to Discount Drug Mart. This is our first year hosting a Christmas party together and I’ve got to be honest with y’all, I was stressing! I wanted to make sure we had the perfect wine, decorations and delicious food for our guests. Thankfully Discount Drug Mart helped to save the runaround and take away so much of the stress!

Most of you know, I love wine. So it should be no surprise that the wine for our party was at the top of my list. I wanted to have a nice selection of white and red wine, since you never know how your guests are going to be feeling when they arrive! Discount Drug Mart had some amazing deals when it came to cases of wine. Which, if you are throwing a Christmas party this month you have to take advantage of!

Aaron and I have been drinking 19 Crimes for years, so having a 19 Crimes selection was a must! Did you know that 19 Crimes has a living label app? Not only is this wine delicious, it is a great conversation starter at parties! The living label is actually one of the main reasons we first picked up a bottle of 19 Crimes, then the delicious flavor kept us hooked. Aaron loves cheese more than anyone I know, so having a wine that pairs perfectly with some sharp cheese was at the top of my list. Enter, the delicious Ménage Trois red blend!

We also decided to add some bottles of Cocobon and Castle Rock into the selection. Cocobon is known for their amazing priced red blend, that pairs well with sharp cheddar and crackers Castle Rock wines are a consistently highly rated Washington state wines. Both of these paired perfect with our appetizers and main dish!

Noble Vines was a new wine to both Aaron and I. We had heard so many great things about their popular red wine 337, and this seemed like the perfect occasion to give it a try! Remember when we took a trip to Bourbon trail last year? Well, after that visit I have been dying to try a bottle of Robert Mondavi! Something that is so special about this wine is that it is made in repurposed bourbon barrels. Not only does this provide unique flavor, it makes for a great after dinner with sweet dessert wine! The perfect end to our Christmas party.

As you can tell, this year’s party had a huge focus on delicious wine and farmhouse home decor. Discount Drug Mart made the preparation for our Christmas party simple, worry free and instead of running around to 5 stores, we only had to visit one!
