Local Hidden Winery Gem – Hanover Winery

Happy Wednesday babes! I hope y’all are having the best week so far and ready for the weekend! Some of you might remember the trip Aaron and I took to Butler County last month. Our first stop for the weekend was Hanover Winery, and it was the absolute perfect start to our time in Butler County!

When we first arrived at Hanover Winery, we were immediately greeted by the most adorable entry way. The path to the testing house was lined with trees, flowers and twinkling lights. Aaron and I have toured a few local wineries before, so we were expecting the wine selection to be somewhat limited and cover the basics. What we did not expect, was to end up tasting some of the best wine we’ve ever had and laugh until it physically hurt!

I know what y’all are thinking, “Okay Emily but what kind of wine did you try?” Well we practically tasted every single one of their 33 delicious wines. But the ones that stood out to us the most were:

• Kiss me Kiss me
• Sweet White
• Sweet Lizzy
• Hanover Bubbly

All of Hanover’s Wines are made only with and from real fruit. What does this actually mean? It means that when you have a cranberry or strawberry wine at Hanover, there is no added flavor then what you can taste from the fruit.

Another impressive aspect about Hanover Winery is that every single one of their wines has won an award. I mean, who else can say that?! They are also the only winery in Butler County and a completely hidden gem if you ask me. After tasting 10 to 15 of their amazing wines I made it my mission to figure out how Hanover Wine’s could be sold in Columbus. They’re just way too amazing to not be at everyone’s fingertips!

As if the night couldn’t get any better, the owner of Hanover Winery was the funniest man ever! Aaron had the best time exchanging jokes and chatting it up all night long.

Do you ever walk into a wine tasting and have no idea what to try first? I loved how they set up their wine menu, from sweet to dry level. You were able to make a fast decision and didn’t have to play a single guessing game!

We walked into Hanover Winery with no expectations, and left learning more about wine and Butler County then we could have expected. I now understand why Hanover Winery has won so many awards. Their owner makes you feel like a friend the moment you enter the front door. Their entire team knows their wines inside and out. And the wine, it’l have you leaving with an entire case so you never have to go a night without it again.
