Post Vacation

This week has absolutely flown by. Naturally I am not taking into consideration that I was on vacation until Tuesday, but would y’all expect anything new from me? We are having some pretty nice “spring” weather in Atlanta at the moment. Honestly I’m not sure if I would compare the weather to spring or fall… either way it has been in the 60s and lovely. I am currently online shopping for my spring wardrobe must haves… Don’t judge, you know you are about to do the same thing.

All of the nice weather has been making the transition back from vacation nice and easy. One of the hardest parts about coming back from vacation is what I like to call the “vacation blues.” You know that feeling you suddenly have the moment you are hit in the face by reality? Well I’ve come up with a few tips on how to beat the blues:

  • Stay busy- whether it is scheduling an extra workout or catching up on missed work.
  • Dress up for work- take the time to pamper yourself before heading to work. I am always in a rush, but it’s amazing how refreshed I feel when I am put together.
  • Jump back into your everyday routine immediately- do not avoid that laundry or leave the suitcase laying out.
  • Rest up- head to bed a few minutes earlier if possible. No need to be grumpy due to a lack of sleep.
  • Take a staycation around your city- who says a vacation has to happen out of state or by spending loads of money? Explore somewhere new in your city, it will give you the thrill of adventure without using work days or extra cash.
