TRAVEL GUIDE: The Glass City

Toledo Ohio Travel Guide

*This post is sponsored by the Renaissance, all opinions are my own.*

Hello ladies! This past week I spent 24 hours in Toledo and had an absolute blast! Toledo is a quick drive from Columbus, and after spending some time there I have no idea why I waited so long to visit. From the beautiful rooftops to the distilleries, Toledo makes for the perfect Ohio weekend getaway!

Where I stayed: The Renaissance in downtown Toledo.

The rooms at the Renaissance are absolutely stunning! From the decor to the rooftop restaurant, they go a step above. Also, can we all just agree that The Renaissance has the comfiest beds? I could have stayed in that king size bed for days!

What I wore: We were exploring from the moment we touched down in Toledo. So I kept my outfits comfortable and simple.

The Food

The Heights: We had dinner at The Heights for our first evening in Toledo! The Heights is a rooftop restaurant on the top of The Renaissance Hotel, with absolutely the most delicious food! Their deconstructed crab cake (top right hand photo) is a must.

Brim House: Make sure to grab breakfast at Brim House while staying at the Renaissance. Absolutely delicious and if you don’t get a side of homestyle potatoes, you are missing out!

Museum Cafe: Located inside the Grove Place entrance of the main Museum building, the Museum Café offers signature sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts. They are known for their handmade Gnocchi, I decided to get the Artichoke Piccata Gnocchi and still have dreams of it to this day!

Toledo Spirits Distillery

To close out our first evening in Toldeo, we made a stop at the Toldeo Spirits company to infuse our own gin! Not only is their store absolutely beautiful, their gin and moonshine is delicious! Their infusing experience would make for the perfect bachelorette or date night!

How fun is this bicycle bar from The HandleBar Toledo?! I’ve been dying to give one of these a try and had the best time exploring Toledo on a moving bar.

Toledo Museum of Art

I was completely blown away by the collection at the Toledo Art Museum. The Museum is ALWAYS free to the public, and would make for the perfect family or day date!

After spending 24 hours in Toledo, I can not wait to bring Aaron back and have a fun weekend away! Have you visited Toledo? I would love to hear where we should visit on our next visit.

XOXO
